CIWF Filmmaker Interview – Mona Maser
Nimerick | www.bereelparthena.com
Q: What are your hopes for the event?
MM: That I will get to meet other Colorado filmmakers.
Q: Who would enjoy attending the festival? Is it just for the filmmaking community, or is there a reason why non-filmmakers should attend?
MM: I would hope that the films are good enough and intriguing enough to draw all sorts of movie lovers.
Q: Tell me briefly about yourself and your film/project.
MM: Nimerick is my first short film — The creative process is a killer – but I’ve made another short film since – and I am sure to do another.
Q: Is there anything you’d like to say about Colorado Independent Women of Film?
MM: Looking forward to getting to know you…
Q: Tell us one unique thing about you and/or your movies?
MM: I have two kids – and two short films – each film featuring one of my boys. Not sure if I will move to my nephews or nieces next or my hound. My mom always says, ‘use what you have, write what you know’ — probably good advice.
Q: What else are you working on?
MM: Things that pay the bills. Web Videos are what I am focusing on at the moment.
Q: Where can people go to find out more about you and your work?
MM: I’ve been working with a partner, Shari Due. Our production company is BE REEL PARTHENA – you can see us at www.bereelparthena.com.
Nimerick will screen Saturday, August 16th at 5:00 p.m. at The Bug Theatre.
