Stacy Farrar was born in Southern California but grew up in Colorado. She was drawn to the performing arts at an early age, but chose to pursue other interests in college. She received a B.A. in Physics and an M.S. in Geological Sciences from the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. After working for more than a decade as an aerospace engineer with Ball Aerospace, she decided to pursue a career in acting. In 2012, she and her husband welcomed their only child, Ian. Stacy has been described as “Strength and intelligence with a soft underbelly of tenderness and wry humor.”
Stacy and her son Ian tragically passed away on May 20, 2017, one day into filming on Collision. Offers Henry Cavalier, Director of Collision, “The cast and crew of Collision are over the moon that the film has been accepted into the CIWF 2018! Stacy would have been so proud. This film was her final film project which we all pitched in to help complete after her and her son’s tragic passing. The screening date of May 19th also coincidentally marks the 1 year anniversary of when we filmed her final scene that you will see in the film. Through Collision we hope to cherish and remember Stacy’s passion for film and acting, as well as honor her memorable impact on our local film community.”
Collision will screen Saturday, May 19th at 8:00 p.m. at The Bug Theatre.
